Following up on the action-survival stylings of the original more than six years after the original’s release, to say that the core fandom hasn’t anticipated its arrival would be more than a little unfair. However, it is certainly a bit understated compared to other banner RPG releases slated for 2021. Dying Light 2 promises a more expansive open-world environment than its predecessor, and being set twenty years after the original, is likely to delve even further into the post-apocalyptic setting of the zombie epide

It’s exhausting being trans. There’s the beautiful side of finally embracing who you want to be, finding a sense of euphoria and belonging that had been missing for far too long. When you finally figure out your identity it can mean the world, it’s just a shame that so much of that very same world seems dead set against our existence. Please, just leave us alone.

So let’s meet that ultimatum with profound silence. Don’t tweet about her, don’t reflect on her comments or make fun jokes or memes surrounding her existence. We’re shining a spotlight on her views and bringing them into the vision of those who really don’t need another reminder that people hate them. Well, I could certainly do without it. hogwarts Legacy secrets Legacy, the upcoming open-world adventure from Avalanche Software has come under fire in recent months for a number of reasons, primarily due to Rowling’s potential involvement and the IP coming from a poisoned well that it can’t escape from. It’s a difficult situation.

JK Rowling has been in the headlines for three reasons recently; something she tweeted, the Guardian’s Person of the Year poll, and the Harry Potter reunion special. As a trans woman, you often get accused of being obsessed with JK Rowling, so I want to establish that there are three significant reasons she has been constantly in the press recently, and asking you all, once and for all, to shut up about her. Please. With a new Harry Potter movie and video game out next year, please heed this call.

Flying is taught at quite an early age at Hogwarts, with all witches and wizards getting a basic lesson in how to pick up, hold and mount a broom, before taking off into the skies. It's a lesson that some pick up quicker than others, which Hermione and Ron would freely admit

I don’t think anyone should be tweeting JK Rowling saying "you’re a massive cunt I hope you die," but I also don’t think I should be called a paedophile degenerate rapist by her followers. And yet I am. And she never says anything about it. If the above sources aren’t enough for you to understand why JK Rowling gets labelled a transphobe, the fact she has frequently called out abuse against her supporters but never tried to dissuade them from spouting vitriol in return, means many of us resent how she has tacitly endorsed them.
That means the world, it really does, but bringing down the powerful who I’m unsure are even listening to you only brings these often traumatic views into our eyes time and time again. I’ve been a victim of transphobia, I’ve been screamed at on the street and sent death threats just for being who I am. I can give up, but my happiness means so much that I’m willing to keep going in the face of adversity. Rowling means nothing to me, she’s a miserable rich woman who has the world in her hands and enough money to enact substantial change, but she instead spends her time writing essays that will be put on a pedestal and are designed to erase the wider identity of trans people.

It’s not every day that the survival horror genre perfectly mixes with an RPG, but Chernobylite seems to attempt this with its wildly engaging premise. Players take on the role of a man searching through the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone and having to survive in this toxic area. As if that wasn’t enough, otherworldly threats have emerged on the scene, making surviving the environment, as radioactive as it is, an almost secondary conc

If players have the opportunity to change everything about the wizarding world's future, the 1800s is the best setting for the game. The noblest of witches and wizards attended their respective schools during this time with Wizard Hitler's followers. If the red-haired woman in the trailer is a clue as well, Hogwarts is likely to have Weasleys that will join you going to classic and even weird locations fans have wanted to explo

The spell can be incredibly useful, although it's one that has been rarely used on screen or in the books featured in the Wizarding World. Perhaps the lesson will come to the forefront of Hogwarts Legacy as players learn how to create cups from creatu

So instead of moaning about Rowling on social media the next time she makes a stink - which she will, trust me - try and champion the trans people in your life, or creators who identify as such who are responsible for games, films, shows, books, comics, or anything else that means something to you. Highlight those voices, since the passion found within their stories and personal journeys means so much more than a rich author who wrote a load of shit novels about wizards. To be an ally you need to recognise how your own actions and those of others can positively and negatively influence LGBTQ+ people, and this will involve screaming from the rooftops to show your support and committing to silence when those above us are determined to beat us down. It’s complicated, and I don’t blame you for feeling disheartened by it all, but we’re in this together and can help make the world a better place.
